THE VARPELIS SCHOOL OF BOYS

The Varpelis School of Boys' Choral Singing was established 1989.The founder of school is Kaunas department of education and developing. Since 1983 Ksaveras Planciunas is the artistic director of the choir. The conductor and teaching methodologist is a graduate from St. Petersburg Conservatoire (Prof. Nikolaj ROMANOVSKIJ). He studied choir and orchestra conducting at Vilnius Conservatoire (prof. Rimas GENIUSAS) and attended a development course at Stuttgart International Academy (prof. Helmuth RILLING). At present he teaches conducting at Kaunas Faculties of Lithuanian Musical Academy.
